Just received the DIY RC Controller Addikit with Receiver Recorder, I powered everything up and the green light does not turn off on the Receiver Recorder. I checked the config.txt for the channel and set to 5. I enabled the program mode on the RC and flashed 5 times. I even tried a different power supply. So this tells me that they are not linked ?

It seems like you might have been looking at the the instructions for the regular Receiver.

The green LED on the Receiver Recorder is a power indicator and is on all of the time. By default both are set to 5 and should work right out of the box.
