Recommended Remote?

First off - thanks for making these amazing products! They are just fantastic!
I'm completely new to Arduino, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it possible to power the unit off and on and trigger the routine via a key fob-type remote?
If so is there one you would recommend?

Yes! You would connect either the high or low trigger input on the Receiver Recorder to the output on your key-fob receiver.

I don't have a specific recommendation, but I know that people have used the ones that run off of 12v and have a relay on them.
